Parking information The parking garage has entrances on West Street and Harrington Street. You'll need to park in any space that is not on the side designated as residential parking and get a parking ticket. You can pay for parking on either the 1st floor (ground floor) or the lobby on the 9th floor. Take the elevator up to the 9th floor and someone will let you onto the 17th floor. UNC Executive Leadership Institute Module 1 Information

Dear ELI Cohort 4, We look forward to seeing you next week for the upcoming ELI Module 1 sessions! Schedule The program will kick-off on Wednesday, September 27th at 10:30am at the University of North Carolina System Office (223. S. West St. Raleigh, NC 27517<https://www.google.com/maps/place/223+S+West+St,+Raleigh,+NC+27603/@35.7779…>). This will be the recognition ceremony for cohort 3 as well as an alumni event with attendees from cohorts 1, 2, and 3. We will have President Peter Hans and NCSU Chancellor Randy Woodson as guest speakers. This is a great opportunity to hear from past participants about their experience with the UNC Executive Leadership Institute. The parking garage has entrances on West Street and Harrington Street. I-OPTS Survey I OPT(r) is the name of an assessment tool that measures information processing preferences. This matters because information processing elections are entirely symbolic (i.e., contains no bio-chemical elements inherent in the "feelings" used by alternative methods). Timeline and Next Steps Time Sensitive - Complete I-OPT by September 5 I-OPT SURVEY INSTRUCTIONS This note describes the process for you to complete the "I Opt" survey. Please complete this by September 5. Aim: Identifying your personal information, decision, and communication preferences. Process/tool: "I Opt" (stands for INPUT-OUTPUT PROCESSING TEMPLATE) is an information, decision, and communication preference tool for individuals and teams. Action required: In preparation, I would like to ask you to complete the "I Opt" survey located at: https://ioptorders.com/surveys/?cid=216&team=ELI (Links to an external site.) It is comprised of 24 multiple choice statements and will take roughly 15 minutes to complete. Instructions * First, click the link above. * Complete the information at the top of document. (First Name, Last name, Email, Company: UNC) * For each set of statements, select the one that best describes you. * There are no right or wrong choices, just preferences. * Avoid choosing options on how you should or could be. * We are looking for general preferences. This is not a "work style" survey. * Try not to spend more than 15 minutes completing the survey. * You must choose one option for each set of statements. * Please remember to complete the information at the top of the survey. * When you are done, click "submit survey". Common Questions/Issues I am trying to complete the survey, but it tells me there is an error. Scroll from the very top of the page to the bottom looking for missing information highlighted in red. Complete the missing portions and submit the form again. I have completed the survey; no information is missing but it will not submit. What do I do? There is more than likely a form submittal block is installed on your web browser or a default block set by your IT department. You can try completing the survey on another device such as a mobile or a computer off your company network. Internet Explorer often has these blocks, instead use Chrome if available. If neither solution works, please request an emailed version of the survey from your "I Opt" facilitator. Do I have to include my full email address? No! Feel free to leave off the company identifier in your email address. For example, First. Last@ (no company name). The email address is used as a secondary quality control mechanism. You will not be contacted, and your email address will not be shared. Who can see my survey results? There are no results stored on the site at any time. It is only a place holder for the survey information. "I-Opt" retrieves the forms and processes the results separately from the site. The results are only shared by "I-Opt" with the person who is supporting you with the survey process and facilitation of the results. 2) Preparation for Module 1 Module pre-reading and required videos are detailed in the attached program prep guide. We hope you found it both informative and inspiring. We look forward to seeing you all in person in September. You are encouraged to use the summer months to build a rapport with your coach/learning league and for self-reflection in preparation for Module 1. Below you will find important information about the program and next steps. Meetings with ELI Program Team In July and August, Anne Schwarz and I will meet virtually with each individual cohort participant to share goals/expectations/feedback and answer any questions about the program. Executive Coaching Please see the attached spreadsheet with contact information for each of the five Learning Leagues and coaching assignments. Your executive coach will be reaching out to you to schedule 1-on-1 and team coaching sessions over the summer. 360 Assessments Prior to Module 1, each participant will complete a CCL Benchmarks 360 assessment designed to provide important feedback from key stakeholders including supervisors, peers, and direct reports. You will also be asked to complete a self-assessment that will be compared to the responses from your raters. Your executive coach will walk you through the assessment process, share your final reports, and debrief your results with you. Note, the UNC System Office will not see individual reports; we will only get an aggregate report on the cohort as a whole. An overview of the 360 process - including important dates - is attached (and available on the SharePoint site) for your reference. Please be on the lookout for the email from notify(a)datasltn.com<mailto:notify@datasltn.com>. Benchmarks by Designs on July 10th to begin the 360-assessment process. Module 1 You should have also received calendar invites for Cohort 3 recognition ceremony/ ELI Alumni event and Module 1, hosted by UNC System Office and UNC Chapel Hill on September 27 to 29, 2023. We will kick off the module on September 27th at the UNC system headquarters in the Dillon building in downtown Raleigh. This will be a Cohort 3 recognition and ELI alumni event with UNC System President Peter Hans and NCSU Chancellor Randy Woodson as guest speakers. You will have an opportunity to meet with ELI alumni and the other System Office senior staff. We will begin Module 1 at the Rizzo Center, located at 150 Dubose Home Ln, Chapel Hill, NC 27517 on Sept. 28 and 29. More detailed information on how to book your rooms at the Rizzo Center will be shared next month. Meals will be provided during the program. Each day will consist of lecture, group discussion, small group breakouts, and networking lunches with colleagues. More information about Module 1, including a detailed syllabus/agenda and any pre-work assignments will be communicated in July.
