Earlier today Appalachian State University announced that Keith Werner has been chosen as their next Chief Information Officer. I want to congratulate Keith on his new role and thank him for his service to the University System over the past six years. Keith has been a friend and colleague to many of us in that time and I want to be the first to wish him well. Keith will begin transitioning to his new role following the Board of Governor's meeting at the end of this month. As normally happens when someone departs, we will work with the cyber security team and the IT team at the System Office over the next few weeks to review the role and ensure our commitment to cyber security remains strong.
