We appreciate your University's participation in last year's process and want to continue to build off the work that has taken place and that you are doing at your institution. Last year we revised the risk register template to gather additional information. We will keep the same format this year and ask that you take some time to review these risks with your risk owners to make any revisions to your top 5 and share any emerging risks that you see on the horizon. You and your campus staff have a unique perspective of your campus and the risks you face, our goal in this process is to continue to find ways to coordinate with our constituents where possible to minimize our exposure and maximize our opportunities. Attached is the risk register document that you submitted to us for last year as well as the combined risk register that was presented to the UNC Board of Governors. I have added a tab to the workbook for 2024, please update this tab with your risk, add any additional information and commentary and return. We know that each University has its own process for collecting and presenting risk data to your own Board of Trustees and we do not want to get in the way of that process. We ask that you return the risk register with your University's top 5 risk by June 7th or earlier if possible. Once we have received each University's risk register we will compile the data and report back to you what the University System's top risk are and where those risks rank.
