Transfer Scholarships

Happy Monday -- here at App State we've been invited to talk to our Development Officers about the needs of transfer students and how they could help us raise money. Scholarships are obviously a big part of the conversation and that got us to thinking -- how much transfer scholarship money do we give out compared to our sister UNC institutions? This might actually help all of us so I'm happy to share our findings...if you wouldn't mind I'd love to know what your total dollar amount you all gave out in scholarships this fall to NEW transfer students and do you also give out scholarships to new spring transfer students. For App -- we gave $51,646 to new transfer students this fall and only offer spring scholarships if there is unused money from our fall transfer merit scholarships leftover (this year there's $2,250). https://scholarships.appstate.edu/transfer-students Kim Morton, Ed.D.
