o Here is the definition for the new employee PROMOTION field, I have added this to the change control document. Please reach out if you have any questions.
For HRDM EEO purposes, we recommend that campuses send the below as promotions in the new employee PROMOTION field. Hiring into another position should include using a job change reason (action code) to identify this activity. There are other career progression and job activities that are excluded from the current requirement.
1. SHRA - Hiring into a different position number (competitive or waiver) with a higher rank/higher market rate.
2. EHRA NF - Hiring into another position (competitive or waiver) with a higher pay rate and/or higher level duties or higher rank.
3. Faculty - changes to a higher academic rank or becoming tenured:
a. The employee's tenure status changes from not-tenured to tenured.
b. The employee moves from a lower rank to a higher rank code, for example, from an Associate Professor to Professor.
Note: Changes in rank modifiers (eg. Clinical, Distinguished, etc.) are not considered promotions.
