Hi Tina,
Yes, breakout presentations will have one hour allotted. This includes Q&A time, so I'd recommend presenters prepare 45 minutes or so, so there is time for questions and discussion.
Thanks, Shelley

Good morning Symposium Committee! We are excited to share the Symposium website and Proposal form with you to distribute to your networks. The form is open and collecting responses. Symposium Website: https://myapps.northcarolina.edu/advancement/symposium/ The proposal form speakers will fill out is under the "Submit Proposal" section/can be accessed by using the Submit Proposal button at the top of the page. We will talk more about proposals next week and answer any additional questions you may have. Feel free to go ahead and start sharing this site and form with folks you think might be a good fit for speaking this year!
Below are the questions from last week's meetings: * Are subcommittees going to be assigned to us? Some were assigned by leadership, others are pending. * If we are seeking presenters from outside of the system, are there resources available for hotels or compensation? We don't compensate speakers for breakout sessions, but we sometimes do for keynote speakers. Most speakers are normally from our system institutions. * If we solicit presentations from outside the system, is there a virtual/hybrid option for presenters who may be far away? We haven't done that in recent years except for COVID. Our preference is to have folks on site. We meet again next week on Thursday, November 21st at 9:00 am on Zoom.
We look forward to seeing you then! Have a great weekend.
